On July 24, 2010, YPE SF Bay Area members headed to the Folsom Powerhouse to learn about one of the earliest hydro-powered electric generation facilities in California and one of the longest AC transmission lines in the country at the time. The group then visited the American River Water Education Center to learn more about the history, construction and purpose of the newer Folsom Dam. The day finished with fun on the beach at Folsom Lake.
