YPAC (Young Pipeliners Association of Canada) and YPE Calgary (Young Professionals in Energy) are proud to present:
The future of Canadian Pipelines: A talk by Dr. Brenda Kenny, President and CEO of CEPA
With the recent rejection of KXL and depressed global oil prices, it has become increasingly more important for Canadian oil & gas products to reach tidewater to compete on the global market. Numerous Canadian pipeline projects are being subjected to the most rigorous regulatory review ever experienced, and the industry would like to better understand the future of Canadian pipelines. Dr. Brenda Kenny is the President and CEO of the Canadian Energy Pipelines Association (CEPA) where she works with industry partners to develop industry positions and advocacy for the pipeline industry. Having spent a number of years with the National Energy Board, Brenda has extensive experience in energy regulation, sustainability, and strategy development. Dr. Kenny is active in a variety of boards and community groups and holds a Doctorate in Resources and the Environment, a Masters of Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Applied Science. The topic of the presentation will be from her perspective (CEPA’s), the Canadian Pipeline Environment: A look back at how it was, how it came to be, and what the future holds.
