Scott currently is the Business and Commercial Manager – Asia Pacific for Husky Energy. Prior to that, Scott has advised both China and U.S. energy companies and billionaires in international business development, acquisitions and investment opportunities across borders. With his partners, Scott has built a successful start up oil and gas exploration and production company in the Gulf of Mexico. In his prior experience, Scott has worked as production and reservoir engineer for various oil and gas companies, onshore and offshore assets development, strategy, portfolio management and business development.
Scott is currently the Program Chairman of Society of Petroleum Engineers Northern China International Section, Editor for SPE – “The Way Ahead”, Executive Committee Member and Portfolio Management Chair for Chinese American Petroleum Association, Young Professionals Committee Chair for Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exhibition. Formerly, Scott was the Director of SPE Evangeline Section, Chair for the Young Professionals, and YPE Director of Lafayette.
Scott holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He’s also a graduate of General Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Executive Development Program at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. He is a native of China and lived in many parts of the country before came to the U.S. and joined the YPE Leadership Team in 2008.
