Farah Mudaffer
Director
Farah Mudaffer is Legal Counsel at Shell and is based in Dubai advising on upstream projects in Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. Farah qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales at Clyde & Co LLP specializing in transactional shipping. After several years in private practice she made the transition in house as Legal Counsel to the offshore drilling contractor, Shelf Drilling in Dubai advising on project finance, joint venture and ship sale and purchase matters.
Farah holds a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in Canada and an LLB from Cardiff University in Great Britain.

Vera Lobova
Board Member
Vera is a marketing professional who has been part of strategic marketing teams of AREVA NP and Alstom Grid, with main responsibilities of gathering, analyzing and distributing market intelligence to key internal stakeholders.
Vera has a keen interest in renewable energy, waste-to-energy technologies and sustainable design. She holds an International Business Administration Degree from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to UAE, Vera lived in France, Germany, Canada and Kazakhstan. She is always interested in connecting and exchanging knowledge and ideas with people from different walks of life.

Blanca de la Fuente
Board Member
Blanca is a certified Project Manager and Chartered Engineer who has been managing the delivery of oil & gas production equipment systems and services (wellhead control panels, chemical injection skids, sampling units…) for the past 3 years in the MENA region at Proserv Production Technology Services.
Prior to Proserv, Blanca worked for the Caterpillar generator set distributor in the horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia and Djibouti) as a Sales & Operations Coordinator. She started her career in Export Finance in France and Belgium at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Bank as a Front Office Analyst structuring infrastructure projects in Latin America and Africa.
Blanca holds an Engineering Degree from the ICAI Pontifical University Comillas (Madrid, Spain) and a Master in European Business from ESCP EUROPE (Paris, France). Her international profile includes 2 student exchanges in France: Hautes Etudes d’Ingenieur (Lille) and in the USA: University of Wisconsin Madison.

Dr Deepti Mahajan Mittal
Board Member
Dr Deepti Mahajan Mittal is Project Manager – Footprint, Climate and Energy, at Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF (EWS-WWF). Here she is leading research and engagement activities in development of federal-level sustainable energy policies. She manages the Ecological Footprint Initiative, a partnership between the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, Global Footprint Network and EWS-WWF. The partnership, chaired by the Minister of Climate Change and Environment, is geared towards reducing the UAE’s carbon emissions through science-based policies.
A core member of the Climate and Energy team at EWS-WWF, Deepti contributes to the implementation of the organisation’s strategy on energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate action.
Deepti was earlier with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), India, and has wide experience on energy and climate projects, having worked with clients including UN-ESCAP, IUCN and DfID. She holds a doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India; a Master’s degree from University of Nottingham, UK, where she was a Commonwealth scholar; and a Bachelor’s from Lady Shri Ram College, India. She is an alumna of the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies, Sri Lanka; and Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace, India; and has worked to actively support regional cooperation and peacebuilding in South Asia.
