Florida State College at Jacksonville seeks a Energy Manager. The Energy Manager is responsible for administering a comprehensive utility management program for the College. Functional areas of responsibility include energy (electricity, natural gas & alternative fuels) and water. The Energy Manager plans, organizes, coordinates and directs the district utility management program. Develops and implements short and long-range utility management goals and objectives. Recommends policies and procedures for effective, efficient, and economical district operations.
The selected candidate at a minimum must have Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Building Construction or related field from an accredited institution supplemented by five (5) years of directly related experience. Additionally the preferred candidate will have Computer capability in Auto-CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat. Operational experience using the Trane Tracer Ensemble and Synchrony BAS controls, School Dude computerized maintenance management system, SkySpark analytical software, 25 Live scheduling utility and Energy Cap. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experienced in higher education building design and construction. Knowledge of energy management program development. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and lighting systems and the ability to manage budgets and team lead a select group of facilities staff. Professional designation of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or completion of Energy Managers Program from the Association of Energy engineers and successful passing of CEM exam.
