Engineer, New Customer Technologies

Our strategy is to encourage greater discipline around innovation, deploying new grid facing technologies, and integrating physical with digital networks that will better enable us to meet the challenges ahead to ensure the grid remains affordable for customers, and dynamic to accommodate changing power flows and renewable and distributed energy.
The Engineer, New Customer Technologies position is responsible for technology research, product testing & validation, and product integration for new offerings for our customers in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. This position will lead the testing and integration of planned technologies into the Company’s Energy Efficiency (EE) and Demand Response (DR) portfolios, and identify new technologies to be added to those portfolios, including emerging technologies such as energy storage, distributed generation, and EV charging. By incorporating advancements in load control, aggregation, Internet of Things, behavioral DR, and distributed energy resources, this position is an essential contributor to our goal of a modernized, customer-centric, 21st century utility.
