National Grid’s Connect 21 strategy is to build and operate better energy networks for the 21st century digital economy. Understanding that a robust electric and gas distribution and transmission system is necessary to deliver clean and economical energy to our customers, National Grid is implementing technologies on our networks that will allow us to meet our future energy challenges. Our strategy is to encourage greater discipline around innovation, deploying new grid facing technologies, and integrating physical with digital networks that will better enable us to meet the challenges ahead to ensure the grid remains affordable for customers, and dynamic to accommodate changing power flows and renewable and distributed energy.
The Program Manager, Smart Energy Products, is responsible for product strategy, product development, and product management for our Energy Efficiency (EE) and Demand Response (DR) portfolios in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island, creating and enhancing programs for customers to help relieve system constraints and reduce peak loads to meet Climate Change and Resilience goals within the states we operate in. By looking across a broad spectrum of energy usage types, and incorporating advancements in control, aggregation, Internet of Things, behavioral DR, and distributed energy resources, this position is an essential contributor to our goal of a modernized, customer-centric, 21st century utility.
