SaaS Business Builder Wanted!

Landdox has set out to re-imagine the way upstream energy companies manage their single-largest asset -- their leasehold and mineral rights.

A bootstrapped start-up, Landdox has spent the better part of two years working with beta customers across the oil patch to build the first Cloud-based land management app for E&Ps, mineral owners and investment funds.

Landdox is fast approaching core functionality critical mass.  Now it’s time to take our vision and software to market in a big way.

That’s why Landdox is searching for exceptional candidates to become our founding salesperson in Houston.

About the role

Bottom-line:  Success in this role means acquiring dozens of new accounts for Landdox each year.

That in turn means:

  • Prospecting a large territory with a high geographic concentration in Houston.
  • Cold calling execs and influencers at prospective customers in order to pique their interest and schedule sales appointments.
  • Leading mostly in-person sales meetings that result in ROI-based sales opportunities.
  • Getting to “Yes” on those sales opportunities, converting prospects into customers by signing them up for subscriptions to Landdox,
  • Ensuring new customers are smoothly on-boarded, which will be pretty hands-on in the early days.

Your work will have an outsized impact on Landdox’s growth trajectory.  Your success will literally change the way important parts of the upstream energy industry function.

Could you be a fit?

Great candidates will have a mix of experience and character traits that equip them to succeed in a scrappy software start-up.  Those include:

  • A history of setting goals and achieving them, in business, academic or other meaningful pursuits
  • 3 - 5 years of trained sales experience, preferably with software products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to establish a value proposition for novel products, and build an economic case for behavior change
  • A desire to learn about and further your professional network within the oil & gas industry
  • Total personal integrity
  • Scrappiness, resourcefulness, and endurance
  • A strong commitment to professional development and an openness to coaching and feedback
