We’re back, and we’re better.
During YPE NYC’s first Infrastructure and Innovation panel, panelists Jessica, Eliot, and moderator Shruti highlighted some key differences between energy grids around the world and their complex paths to sustainability. Jessica and Eliot identified numerous technological, social, political, and economic challenges that together, are hindering the emergence of a global, low-carbon economy. They also discussed nuances unique to each community that will require thoughtful solutions in order to bring about large-scale, sustainable energy infrastructure.
This time, we’re adding one more to our conversation and diving headfirst into the challenges of the people creating, supporting, and implementing these solutions against the backdrop of rapidly changing political climates. Research is indicating nationalistic sentiment continues to grow, yet technology allows us to remain more connected than ever before. How will progressive innovation fare in an increasingly closed-off, and simultaneously interconnected world?
