Young Professionals in Energy SF Roundtable: State of the U.S. Tax Equity Market – 2017 Update

Third-party tax equity financing has been a major driver of renewable energy development in the U.S., and a possible tax reform has the potential to unsettle this $12.7 billion giant. While the scope and viability of such a reform remain far from certain, investors, developers, and their advisors are already taking precautionary measures to limit their risk exposure.

The panelists, representing financial, legal, and development perspectives, will discuss how various federal policies and tax issues might impact the booming U.S. renewable energy landscape. They will identify issues that need to be addressed by investors and developers before the ITC and PTC expire in order for these industries to remain competitive, and they will also consider how different tax and policy scenarios might influence renewable energy’s path to grid parity.

Join us for a timely discussion on this key topic in renewable energy financing. Discussions will be followed by an interactive Q&A session.
