Introduction to Wind Power, the potential and challenges in the Middle East region
In April 2015, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IRENA and Masdar announced that Wind and Solar Power may now be the cheapest sources of new energy supply in the United Arab Emirates.
We hear a lot about solar power and all the new projects being launched in the region. But what about wind? How mature are wind technologies? Is wind adapted to the region? What are the risks to consider when developing a wind project?
To learn more about these issues, the YPE is pleased to invite you to meet our guest speaker; Khaled Klabi, Head of Renewables at DNV GL, who has a vast experience in the sector. The event is free of charge, co-organized with the Young in DNV GL group, and will take place in DNV GL offices. This event has limited availability; access will be granted on a first-serve basis only. Register now!
