Michael Ming
Oklahoma Secretary of Energy
C. Michael Ming currently serves as the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy, appointed by Governor Mary Fallin in January, 2011. He formerly served as the President of the Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America, RPSEA, and as an independent natural gas producer as a Managing Member and principal of K. Stewart Energy Group and K. Stewart Petroleum Corp. He holds a BS degree with distinction in Petroleum Engineering and an MS degree in Engineering Management, both from Stanford University, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma. Mr. Ming is an emeritus member and past Chairman of the Petroleum Investments Committee at Stanford University. He is actively involved in the University’s energy programs and co-sponsored the MAP/Ming Visiting Professorship on Energy and the Environment. He currently serves on advisory boards for the Stanford School of Earth Sciences, the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas, and MAP. He formerly served on the MIT Future of Natural Gas Study, the Oklahoma Clean Energy Independence Commission, as an adjunct professor in Energy Management at the University of Oklahoma, and as an oil & gas strategic planning advisor to the Department of Energy.  
John Breidenthal
Well Control Instructor, Chevron
John is currently a rotating instructor on the team with the title of Well Control Advisor. John came from Gulf of Mexico-Deepwater Business Unit where he served most recently as the Senior Field Drilling Engineer on a floater in the ultra-deepwater Gulf of Mexico and as a Drilling Engineer planning upcoming operations. Prior to this John was the first Drilling Engineer assigned to WellDECC (Well Design, Execution and Collaboration Center). He started his career with Gulf Oil in 1982 in West Texas and has held a wide variety of posts starting as a Reservoir Engineer. Other jobs include Field Engineer, Production Supervisor, Division Planning Coordinator and as a Drill Site Manager, with both onshore and offshore assignments. John also worked as a Drill Site Manager seconded to ExxonMobil in Chad, Africa. He served in Chevron Pipeline Company as the Technical Maintenance Team Lead and as the Technical Services Team Lead. John is an alumnus of the United States Naval Academy and the University of Kansas. He is a Petroleum Engineer.  
Bob Gum
Lawyer, Gum, Puckett & Mackechnie Law Firm
Bob practices law in Oklahoma City with his firm, Gum, Puckett & Mackechnie. He is a native Oklahoman who earned his undergraduate degree from OSU and his law degree from OU. Bob was admitted to the Bar in 1977 and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts sitting in Oklahoma. His practice is primarily concerned with matters arising in the fields of energy and natural resources. In those fields Bob has been featured in both The Best Lawyers in America and Oklahoma Super Lawyers. When not working, Bob spends his time with his wife, Jackie and in raising and training bird dogs and field trial horses.
