Job Summary:
As an Associate / VP of the Portfolio Management team, he/she will participate in a team
involved in management of a portfolio of equity investments in infrastructure companies.
This firm’s portfolio operations team monitors portfolio company performance and works with
the portfolio company management and investment partners to improve portfolio companies
performance and to increase the value of these businesses through operating efficiencies and
The Associate / VP will gain a deep understanding of the portfolio companies to which he/she is
assigned, and will prepare internal reports to monitor portfolio companies and highlight issues
and opportunities, maintain the long term financial model and produce sensitivities analysis. The
Associate / VP will also ensure that important portfolio company records are filed in the PE firm’s
document management system and portfolio database.
The Associate / VP will also work with the Portfolio Management team on special projects
including analysis on potential tuck-in acquisitions, preparation of business plans and other
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Rebuild, update and maintain the firm’s long term project models as necessary
With portfolio company management, develop monthly reports of portfolio company
     operational and financial performance
Review Portfolio Company’s monthly report and provide a summary monthly report and
     action report to the Partners of the firm
Prepare quarterly valuation and carrying value reports
Review in detail and challenge portfolio companies annual budgets and business plans
Flag issues/opportunities
Work on special projects including tuck-in acquisitions and business plans
For assigned Portfolio Companies, ensure all appropriate documents are filed in the
     respective eRoom
Performs other duties as directed by the firm’s Partners

Job Requirements

Masters Degree in Business Administration (preferable but not a requirement)
BA/BS degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3+ years experience in infrastructure industry or in an infrastructure focused group of a
    financial or accounting organization. Background / experience in energy industry would
    be a plus.
3+ years of analyst experience
Strong financial modeling experience and ability to create, review and analyze financial
     models and valuations using MS Excel
Experience assisting in developing strategic plans (preferable)
Hands-on knowledge of operations and financial policies and procedures (preferable)
Ability to organize and manage electronic data rooms
Ability to prepare reports using MS Word and Powerpoint
Familiarity with (and willingness to create reports using) database applications
    (Filemaker Pro is a plus)
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel
Education Required:MBA preferable, but not required
