Description
The Staff Accountant will fulfill an important role in a rapidly-growing company within our accounting team. It is a hands-on position with a mix of accounting and operational duties. The entities are stand-alone special purpose entities used as financing vehicles for the company. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for recording accurate financial transactions in each entity in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare complex journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, Construction in Progress, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Rent, Deferred Revenue, and Equity accounts
  • Record and reconcile inter-company activity, including inter-company payables, receivables, investments, and lease payments
  • Manipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from sources such as QuickBooks. Oracle, and Salesforce
  • Assist in external financial reporting processes
  • Assist with the preparation and recording of investor capital calls and cash distribution activities
  • Work with independent auditors to provide support for audited financial statements
  • Assist with Oracle implementation tasks, such as user acceptance testing 
  • Assist with special projects as required

Job Requirements

Experience
  • Minimum B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of operating and reporting structures and financial policies and procedures
  • Thorough and detail oriented
  • Must be results-oriented with an ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly
  • Ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues
  • Comfort with manipulating and managing large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of Oracle Applications-R12 preferred
  • Excellent written and formal presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
Education Required:B.S. / B.A
