Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

 

Location: Cranberry Township, PA

Summary

This position is responsible for conducting and documenting moderate to complex financial, economic and statistical analysis within our Appalachia Basin business unit. The successful candidate will be managing rolling forecasts for production, lease operating expenses and capital expenditures, and will also be relied upon heavily to manage the annual budget process within the basin.
 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages the day to day basin finance operations while mentoring and developing the Appalachia Basin finance department.

2. Aids in reporting requirements to the board of directors and senior management team.

3. Manages the Appalachian Basin forecast for production, lease operating expenses and capital expenditures.

4. Aids in developing long term financial planning strategies, assisting in the analysis of potential acquisitions and divestitures, financing alternatives, and capital appropriation opportunities.

5. Reviews financial reports and forecasts for accuracy, trends and variances when comparing back to the budget and previous forecasts.

6. Assists in the analysis of financial data and extracts and defines relevant information.

7. Interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance.

8. Reviews costs and performs cost/ benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.

9. Performs statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data.

10. Develops and manages monthly financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.

11. Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

12. Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

Job Requirements

Experience

Education/Qualification:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

2. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

3. Minimum 4 -6 years related experience.

4. Oil and gas industry experience strongly preferred.

5. Previous supervisory experience.

Skills

Requirements/Skills

1. Detail oriented person with a focus on accuracy.

2. Experience in writing financial, strategic and business planning reports at the executive level.

3. Advanced experience using Microsoft excel and MS applications including other databases.

4. Experience in the manipulation and analysis of statistical data.

5. Strong interpersonal relationship skills in communicating with all levels of staff.

6. Superior verbal and written communications skills.

7. Experience with accounting systems.

8. Valid driver’s license.

9. Ability to travel 15% of time.
