SPEAKER BIO:

Mr. Droog leads Chevron’s global business development for all lower carbon and new energies, including renewable fuels, gas and products, hydrogen, carbon capture utilization and storage, offsets, carbon trading and emerging opportunities in areas like energy storage and geothermal. Mr. Droog is a member of the Chevron New Energies leadership team and the global Strategy, Policy and Development executive team.

Previously, he was Vice President, Energy Transition for Chevron, where he directed the company’s strategy, planning, external engagement and commercial incubation, leading to the launch of Chevron New Energies in 2021. Mr. Droog joined Chevron in 2013 and has over two decades of experience on complex energy issues. He previously served in roles managing policy, legal, venture and commercial matters for the company.

Prior to joining Chevron, he practiced law primarily focused on domestic and international energy matters. After graduating summa cum laude from Pepperdine School of Law, Mr. Droog clerked in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Droog is an active member of the industry and community serving on several boards including non-profits focused on economic development, innovation and enabling those with special needs.
