LCRA Wholesale Power is looking for an Energy Analyst Sr. to join our team. This person will be stationed at either the GOC or FPP, but will have the opportunity to travel to other Generation sites, as well as work remote. The ideal candidate is someone that is an innovative, strategic problem solver, with a deliverable-focused mindset and has excellent attention to detail. We need someone that is willing to self-teach. Use your strong Excel, Maximo, database, and SQL skills to solve complex problems, develop custom reports, and manage plant performance metrics. You will work collaboratively with numerous cross functional teams to manage, evaluate, test, and troubleshoot new and existing software. Our team thrives on finding innovative ways to improve and develop new processes that increase efficiency across Wholesale Power. Experience in power generation, planning/scheduling, change management, process reengineering, and data visualizations skills would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct planning, analytical support, and evaluation of generation assets.
• Performs quantitative analysis and modeling of economic and financial impacts of generation assets.
• Analyzes data from natural gas, coal and electrical power generation costs and formulates statistics to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Develops and deploys databases for research and information.
• Ensures quality assurance and quality control of data and documentation.
• Identifies and corrects errors in complex mathematical calculations performed by various software tools used.
• Understands and implements power plant best practices when developing new processes and metrics.
• Provides training and develops training materials for new and established software.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Nine or more years' experience in energy analytics.
- A degree(s) in business, economics, engineering, mathematics or a relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
