Senior Energy Intelligence Analyst

The Opportunity:
Enel North America works closely with businesses and institutions to develop, execute, and continually refine a holistic energy strategy. Intelligence designed to achieve desired outcomes through a suite of solutions and services. Energy analysts are tasked with architecting these strategies, working in tandem with internal resources on their delivery, and becoming an energy expert in their assigned region(s) and or commodity. Successful analysts have a firm understanding of the underlying market fundamentals; market drivers, renewable market conditions, generation footprint, regulatory environment, utility rates, etc.
What You'll Do at Enel:
- Work in tandem with internal Advisors and Energy Procurement Managers to deliver deep technical, regional, regulatory, and commodity expertise to a portfolio of clients
- Help inform customers’ supply strategy and approach in North America energy markets
- Utilize Enel X software and apply market analysis to make recommendations to clients on when to purchase or hedge physical energy
- Develop, enhance and maintain models to forecast and analyze electric rate impacts
- Leverage internal tools to support and deliver customer analytics: energy budgets, variance to budget, savings from default service, renewable Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPA) analysis, distributed energy resource assessment (Combined Heat and Power (CHP), onsite solar, etc.), Value at Risk (VaR) analysis, load profiles, mark to market reporting, tariff analysis, pricing indices, procurement summary analytics and more
- Produce both recurring and ad hoc analytics, and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
- Write and report energy market content for internal and external market commentary
- Attend client meetings in-person as needed
- Lead members of the team in process/tool improvement projects
- Support the sales process as requested
- Assist the Product team in analyzing new supply markets, concepts, and commodities as requested
- Develop price forecasts and make market analysis recommendations to clients

What You've Accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in the US deregulated power industry
- Hands on experience analyzing and interpreting energy usage data, electric tariffs and wholesale energy market data
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with power price structuring, risk management, electric scheduling or forecasting
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Experience working with electric utilities
- Experience with Tableau, or other data visualization software
- Working knowledge of SQL, R, Python a plus
