The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF)—the leading think tank for science and technology policy—seeks a senior policy analyst on digital energy innovation within its Center for Clean Energy Innovation. The successful candidate will analyze a wide range of digital technologies that are critical to clean energy innovation, identify implementation hurdles, and help develop and propose policy solutions to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon system. The duties will include authoring original and secondary research in multiple formats and presenting research findings at public events for audiences in the policymaking and advocacy community in Washington, D.C., and beyond. The analyst will be an active member of this community through engagement with other organizations and personal networking. The analyst will be based in Washington and report to the director of ITIF’s Center for Clean Energy Innovation. The analyst must be passionate about the potential for digital technologies to address energy and climate challenges and be prepared to become a thought leader with a fast-paced, high-powered think-tank. The analyst must have excellent written and oral communication skills and a record of publishing high-quality policy-relevant analysis. The analyst must have an existing base of knowledge and relationships to draw upon. The analyst must be a self-starter who is able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
