Speaker Series – YPE London Chapter
The London YPE Chapter is delighted to invite you to its next Speaker Series event:
“IMO 2020: Is The Oil & Gas Industry Ready?”
Hosted by FTI Consulting & YPE London
From January 1st 2020 all bunker fuels will have to adhere to stricter, IMO-mandated limits on sulphur content. Rolling out this policy on a global scale can change the dynamics of crude oil and fuels market fundamentals. How will the new IMO regulations for bunker fuels impact the global oil supply and demand balance post 2020? Is the impact already visible in the fuels market? Will this lead to a sharp rise in fuel bills with higher demand on certain grades?
It also comes at great costs for ship-owners and ship management companies. Are companies going to keep their current assets and invest up-front capital cost for scrubber? How likely are they to convert to LNG as an alternative to bunker fuels?
Join us for a discussion on the above questions and many more with distinguished experts in the field who will share their insights and expertise on all these questions.
When: Monday 23rd October, 6.30pm – 9.00pm followed by a networking reception
