A 28-acre “canvas,” Hudson Yards is a twenty-first-century urban experience with state-of-the-art infrastructure and groundbreaking technological and sustainable advancements. A 13MW cogeneration facility anchors the energy infrastructure of Hudson Yards, which includes both a microgrid, which can operate independently from ConEdison’s distribution grid, and a district energy system, which provides heating and cooling to the entire campus.
