Corinna Bellomo, President

Corinna Bellomo is an Analyst in the Clean Energy Procurement group at the Ontario Power Authority (OPA). She was previosuly Manager of Procurement Operations at the OPA in the Rewables Procurement group overseeing all standard offer programs including the FIT and microFIT programs. Her porfolio of procurement projects include the Hydroelectric Contract Initiative (HCI), Combined Heat and Power (CHP IV) and Non-Utility Generator (NUGs). Corinna completed her Bachelor of Engineering Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. She is also a Certified Supply Chain Management Professional in the province of Ontario.  


Kristyn Annis, Board Member

Kristyn Annis is a Partner for the Business Law Group of McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto. Her practice is in the area of energy (regulatory and general corporate) and Aboriginal law. Kristyn advises a wide range of clients across the energy sector and has particular experience with Ontario's commercial power procurement processes, including the recent renewable energy procurements. Kristyn also frequently represents both gas and electricity clients before the Ontario Energy Board on all types of regulatory matters, and has substantive knowledge of the IESO Market Rules. Kristyn has a strong interest in policy issues affecting the energy sector. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, she served as senior policy advisor to two successive Ministers of Energy of Ontario: the Honourable Dwight Duncan and the Honourable Gerry Phillips. She has a degree in civil engineering from McGill University (2000) and a French Common law Degree (LLB) from L’Université d’Ottawa (2004), as well as a CSC from the Canadian Securities Institute (2006). Kristyn is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Law Society of Ontario. Kristyn is fluent in French and Spanish. 


Karen Beattie, Board Member

Karen is an energy (regulatory) lawyer at Bennett Jones LLP. Most frequently, Karen represents gas and electric utility companies in relation to a broad range of rate-related matters. She also routinely assists companies with the regulatory process for renewable energy projects. Karen has appeared before the National Energy Board, the Ontario Energy Board and the Alberta Utilities Commission (formerly, the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board). She has also assisted clients in relation to applications before the British Columbia Utilities Commission, the Manitoba Public Utilities Board and the public utilities boards of the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Karen is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Law Society of Alberta.  


Ali Golriz, Board Member

Ali Golriz is a Business Analyst in the Clean Energy Procurement group at the Ontario Power Authority, where he is involved with procuring CHP, natural gas, biomass, and energy-from-waste generation for the Province. He graduated from the mechanical engineering program at the University of Waterloo, through which he did internships at Hatch Energy and BC Hydro. Additionally, Ali is working towards a Masters of Business Administration part-time at the Rotman School of Management.  


Ashwin Goel, Board Member

Ashwin is an Account Manager & Analyst for SunEdison, a leading global solar PV developer and energy producer. Ashwin focuses on the deployment of distributed and utility-scale solar projects in Canada and the U.S.- Northeast regions. To date, he has developed a pipeline of over 240 projects. Prior to SunEdison, Ashwin was an Associate at The Green Machine Fund in New York City, a boutique private equity fund focused on the clean technology sector. Before working in clean tech, Ashwin was abroad in Mumbai, India where he was the Director of Product Development for a internet start-up. Ashwin is a Chicago native and graduated from The University of Wisconsin at Madison where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He has also taken post-graduate business classes at Columbia University in New York.  


Brandon Tracey, Board Member

Brandon is a Systems Designer at Carmanah Technologies, one of the most trusted names in solar technology. His work focuses mainly on the design and development of grid-tied photovoltaic systems for the Ontario Market. He has worked with many private and public sector clients including; Northland Power, Toronto Hydro and the City of Toronto. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Windsor.  


Angela Wojtyla, Board Member

Angela is a Protection and Control Engineer for Hydro One Inc. Her work consists of maintaining, trouble-shooting and commissioning protection schemes for transformer stations located in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Previously Angela worked at Manitoba Hydro in Winnipeg. She has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. She has extensive experience with various volunteer organizations and recently has created and spearheaded a “Women in Trades, Technology and Engineering” group within Hydro One. She is an active member in charity and social events, and also in the promotion of gender diversity and networking among younger employees. Angela is fluent in Polish.  


Hemanth Shankar, Board Member

Hemanth Shankar is a Project Development Manager at Acciona Energy North America. He is responsible for developing utility scale renewable energy projects in Canada. Prior to Acciona, Hemanth worked for the Ontario Power Authority and Solas Energy Consulting. He graduated from the Civil Engineering Program at the University of Waterloo, through which he had multiple internships including working for Shell Wind Energy. Hemanth is working towards his professional engineering designation in Ontario.
