And an organization geared toward that crowd is stepping up its game to help lead them there.
The San Antonio chapter of Young Professionals in Energy — once a group whose members merely met for happy hour — is now looking to have a bigger impact on the development of the industry's rising leaders.
As part of that shift, the group recently stepped up its game with a quarterly lunch-and-learn series, a charity golf tournament and other events. Although it was founded several years ago, the non-profit organization launched a Facebook page in January and now boasts 800 people on its email distribution list that includes lawyers, engineers, finance specialists and other professionals."
