About YPE
Our Organization
Message from the Executive Director
Thank you for visiting YPE. Since our founding in 2005, YPE has become the de facto leadership development organization for rising stars in the energy industry worldwide. With a presence in virtually every time zone across six continents, YPE is likely operating in a city near you. The organization was founded upon the belief that in an industry so specialized, a young professional who quickly learns the ins and outs can quickly move up in their organization.
We’ve always said that after your third YPE event, you know enough to be dangerous. It’s been a pleasure to see our members rise through the ranks of their organizations and take on the most important challenges in our industry. YPE membership is free, and we define the energy industry broadly creating a dynamic where our events are usually filled to capacity by a cross-section of the industry.
YPE’s focus has always been putting on great events for our members. Since day one, the cardinal rule we stress to every chapter leader is to personally greet every person as they walk in the door. What sets YPE apart is the global connectivity we provide to our members – knowing you can be anywhere in the world and plug into YPE in that particular city via our events calendar. Moreover, many of our members plan their business trips around when YPE events will be taking place in that city.
YPE strives to continuously improve in every way possible, so please contact me with any ideas or suggestion on ways we can better serve our members. In the meantime, we hope to see you at the next YPE event in your city, and thank you for being part of the YPE network.
Very truly yours,
Stephen Cravens
YPE Founder & Executive Director
Stephen Cravens founded YPE in 2005 and continues to coordinate global YPE operations while leading efforts to empower leadership at the local level.
