The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. With the funds raised, they strive to:
- Help families across the country by continuing to provide and enhance programs focusing on education and support.
- Advance critical research studies into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
- Speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s through our public policy initiatives.
In 2015, Walk to End Alzheimer’s raised more than $60 million in the United States, including over $1.1 million from generous Oklahomans. Almost 2,000 thousand people participated at the Tulsa Walk, and this year we hope to raise over $675,000 – placing Tulsa in the Top 30 Walks Nationwide!
