Blockchain technology has the potential to radically change the energy industry by changing the way we execute energy supply transactions, fuel our vehicles, meter and bill electric usage, take title to energy assets, monitor and operate grid equipment, and trade renewable energy certificates. The technology is new, but the business models are even newer and more uncertain.
