On Monday, January 28th, the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute (HNEI) will be hosting a Young Professionals in Energy event at the Project FROG net-zero energy buildings at the UH Mānoa campus. HNEI will share information about the innovative projects they are supporting in Hawaii and offer a chance to learn about the cutting-edge technologies the organization is helping to develiop for energy generation, storage, distribution, and more. The event will be hosted at the net-zero energy FROG Building at the UH Mānoa College of Education. The access road to this building is located off Metcalf Road just west of University Ave in Mānoa. Please see this link or the attached PDF map for more detail. (MAP FROG LOCATION2) Parking is on Metcalf street, or there is some apron parking near the FROG as indicated on map.

The Hawaii Natural Energy Institute (HNEI), a research unit of the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST), University of Hawai'i at Manoa (UHM), conducts research of state and national importance to develop, test and evaluate novel renewable energy technologies. The Institute leverages its in-house work with public-private partnerships to demonstrate real-world operations and enable integration of emerging technologies into the energy mix. Founded in 1974, HNEI was established in statute in 2007 to address critical State energy needs.
