Director, ITIF Center for Clean Energy Innovation
The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF)—the leading think tank for science and technology policy—seeks a director for its Center for Clean Energy Innovation (CCEI). CCEI’s mission is to accelerate energy and climate innovation through creative and effective public policies in the United States and around the world. The successful candidate will lead the Center’s team of analysts pursuing this mission and conduct a research and outreach program of their own. The director will work with ITIF’s president and the CCEI staff to define and manage the Center’s research and outreach agenda, raise funds from foundations and individuals to support its work, author and present research in multiple formats, and participate actively in the climate and energy policy and advocacy community in Washington, D.C., and beyond. The director must be passionate about the potential for innovation policy to address energy and climate challenges and be prepared for a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-powered think-tank. The director must have experience managing talented staff and winning foundation grants as well as a record of publishing high-quality policy-relevant analysis and a solid professional network in the field. The director must be a detail-oriented, intrinsically motivated self-starter who is able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
