Summary: GoldenSet Capital Partners (“GCP”) is seeking an Investment Analyst/Associate to provide underwriting and asset management support to a growing portfolio of environmental infrastructure investments in the clean energy, waste and water sectors.

Functional Responsibility: This position, which supports the senior investment team, is responsible for managing all aspects of investments to ensure recovery of investment capital and to maximize the value of investment gains. The GCP investment portfolio includes equity and quasi-equity investments in a wide variety of projects and companies. The position requires the ability to support all phases of a transaction from initial evaluation, diligence, and structuring to monitoring of the construction and operation of the projects.

Performance Objectives

  • Analyze and/or develop detailed financial models and projections for investments
  • Conduct due diligence on companies and projects by researching, analyzing financial statements and market data
  • Analyze financial information relating to specific companies, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Prepare investment memoranda and reports for weekly team meeting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly investment reports for the Investment Committee
  • Prepare periodic presentations and reports, assembling data from multiple sources
  • Facilitate and coordinate interface with clients, partners, project participants, and lenders
  • Support asset monitoring activities including loan and project document compliance
  • Track and compare the actual operating and economic performance of investments with budgets and forecasts, updating the forecasts as required
  • Portfolio level risk management analysis and reporting
  • Perform valuation analysis for investments and develop exit scenarios.

Qualifications - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement
  • Financial modeling and valuation experience
  • Experience with documentation/managing complex financial transactions
  • Experience supporting project finance deals in the energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Experience managing energy project construction period and operating period investments
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills with ability to work in a small team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Detail orientation with a constant desire for timeliness and accuracy of data; ability to manage quality, accuracy and consistency of work products
  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate findings of analyses
  • Proven ability to balance multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines
