Residential Energy Auditor
Description
We’re looking for a Residential Energy Auditor at our headquarters in Fergus Falls, MN or one of our Customer Service Centers.
At Otter Tail Power, our employees help us serve the communities we support by producing reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible electricity. In this role, the Residential Energy Auditor will perform energy studies for residential and multi-family housing to meet our company-wide beneficial electrification, energy conservation and efficiency, and load management goals. Examples of those activities will include:
- Lead the energy transition by performing onsite audits and technical reports for customers.
- Conduct blower door, combustion analyzers, and other testing for home energy audits.
- Verification of implemented projects, data analysis, and modeling.
We’re seeking candidates with a wide range of skills who are motivated to deeply understand residential homes and multi-family businesses for performing onsite energy studies and create customer relationships to build the best path forward while aligning with our core values: Integrity, Community, Safety, Resourcefulness, Customer Service and People. Some examples of what we’re looking for include:
- Comprehensive understanding of weatherization, heat exchangers, indoor air quality, general building principles, and HVAC and water heating equipment.
- Have, or ability to attain within 1 year, certifications of Building Analyst and Multifamily Building Analyst through Building Performance Institute Inc. and perform blower door, combustion analyzer, and other testing for home energy audits.
