Our company is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations (get us paid!) and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a able to work remotely, is highly reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Location: Remote; rare travel to SF (HQ)

Estimated Workload: 5-10 hours/week to start; grow over time

Reports To: General Manager

Compensation: Negotiable: Hourly, above market; we pay more for the best people



  • 5+ Years experience
  • Advanced Quickbooks user
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Excels working remotely, and without supervision
  • Response time during working hours <4 hours
  • CPA preferred, but not required


Areas of Responsibility:


AP & Payroll

  • Collect invoices form multiple team members
  • Prepare AP in Chase Online; line up expenses for release
    • Set up new vendors as necessary
  • Prepare payroll for release (monthly) - (Gusto)
  • Review staff members expenses (monthly); set up for payment/release with payroll



  • Manage all transactions in Quickbooks (Quickbooks database is current/up to date)
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare monthly cash position forecast



  • Obtain monthly budget inputs from team members
    • Update budget/CRM to reflect changes (Quickbase)
    • Flag major changes to management
  • Create draw requests from investor as need (~2 months)


Tax & Audit

  • Work with company CPAs to provide all information/records required for annual tax returns
  • Work with Auditors (year end) to provide all information/records required for annual audit


Legal Entity Management

  • Keep LLCs up to date (2 currently)
  • File Statements of Information, etc.
