Speakers
Michael Ward
Mr. Ward is a 12 year Sr Surface Landman with a background in Canadian and American Land acquisition. In his career Mr Ward has gained experience with both In-house and Brokerage Land Management. His previous work experience includes Multi-Well Land Acquisition programs, extensive ROW and Easement Acquisition projects (both the US and Canada), Stakeholder Engagement implementation, Native American and First Nations Consultation and involvement, and Administrative implementation projects to increase efficiencies.
One of Michael’s most accomplished acquisitions was in 2014 when he and the team at Vertex applied their integrated approach to obtain a presidential letter for a cross border pipeline from Saskatchewan, Canada into Divide County, North Dakota. Vertex completed both the Land Acquisition and Environmental phases of this project.
Mike Cormier
Mr. Cormier has over 13 years of experience in environmental services with a direct focus conducting remediation and environmental assessment projects. His diverse background includes remediation system install, design and operation. Mr. Cormier provides valuable coordination, cooperation and potential management of work with other remote field offices and senior technical support, report review and development of continual technical improvement processes with focus on reclamation and remediation, phase I and II environmental site assessments, detailed site assessments, acknowledgement of reclamation and construction supervision and environmental planning.
Dhugal Hanton
Mr. Hanton is both an environmental and land professional with over 10 years of experience in the energy sector. He has experience in public consultation, team facilitation, client relations and efficiency analysis. Having the highest designation from both the Institute of Agrologists and the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), his professional guidance and drive are predicated on the basic principles of environmental mitigation and stakeholder consultation. He has a strong understanding of linear and commercial projects and brings a unique approach to projects balancing both the land and environment perspectives. Dhugal has worked primarily as a manager and project manager of land, regulatory and environment projects.
