Everyone is talking about the transition to renewables: major companies are restating their emissions-reduction goals, GE’s project with Deepwater Wind is chugging along, and the industry is buzzing about Elon Musk’s solar shingles and their infinity warranty.

...But, how easy is the transition, really?

Join us, together with Uncharted Play’s Jessica O. Matthews and Vinson & Elkins' Eliot Cotton, as we discuss the challenges that come with implementing clean tech in governments and economies around the world, and the innovation pushing to overcome them.

ABOUT OUR PANEL:

Jessica O. Matthews is the Founder & CEO of Uncharted Play, an energy company that designs renewable energy technology systems for infrastructure and smart applications. Jessica’s research and career centers around the intersection of disruptive technology, human behavior, and the psychology of self-actualization. Jessica has a degree in Psychology and Economics from Harvard University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Her list of accolades include Fortune’s Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs, Forbes 30 under 30 list, Inc Magazine 30 under 30, and Harvard University Scientist of the Year.

Senior Associate in the Venture Capital division of Vinson & Elkins, Eliot Cotton represents founders, high-growth companies, and venture capital firms. His experience spans a variety of industries (including oil and gas, real estate, entertainment, and health care). Eliot earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and his JD from the University of Texas School of Law.

Moderator: Shruti Nayar acquired her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, where she dual-majored in Economics and Environmental Studies, researched under faculty members of the University Council on Sustainability, and danced on the University of Rochester Bhangra team. Upon graduating, Shruti began her career at Green Street Solar Power in residential project management, and has since progressed to Senior Analyst.
