Join fellow young professionals in the energy industry for a tour of the state’s largest solar array at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport!
- Location: Blue Parking Ramp, Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, Terminal One
- Directions: Take the Blue Line train to the Terminal 1- Lindbergh Station stop, follow signs towards the Blue Parking Ramp. We will plan on meeting at the T1 Lindbergh - 9th floor level of the Red/Blue parking ramps In the Hub building atrium.
- Parking: If you are driving, enter General Parking and choose Red or Blue Ramp. Park on the 9th level of the Red or Blue ramp.
- Description: The 3 MW solar photovoltaic facility was installed on top of the red and blue parking ramps at MSP Airport Terminal 1, and began generating electricity in December 2015. Our tour will be led by staff from the Metropolitan Airports Commission, who will share highlights from the solar project and the other energy initiatives underway at MSP. We will gather at 3:15 pm at the Blue Parking Ramp for the tour, which should last approximately one hour. If there is interest we may meet up for happy hour afterwards somewhere along the Blue Line.
