We will be going into a live and operating substation. This is a potentially dangerous area, which means there are several safety protocols that we must adhere to. All those going on the tour must meet the following conditions to enter the substation:
- Wear comfortable, closed-toe, flat shoes. No sandals or flip-flops. Shoes should be all leather uppers, no nylon/synthetic parts (look carefully at tennis shoes).
- All clothing should be natural fibers (cottons, wools, silks, leathers). No nylons, polyesters or other synthetics. (This means wear jeans.)
- Hard hats, safety glasses and Flame Resistant shirt will be provided to you. (Please let me know if you have your own safety gear).
