Description of MISO: MISO is an essential link in the safe, cost-effective delivery of electric power across all or parts of 15 U.S. states and the Canadian province of Manitoba. As a Regional Transmission Organization, MISO assures consumers of unbiased regional grid management and open access to the transmission facilities under MISO’s functional supervision.
Event Description: Young Professionals in Energy (“YPE”) Twin Cities has organized an exclusive tour of the MISO facilities in Eagan, MN on Monday, February 1st, 2016 at 3:00pm. Be sure to RSVP to this event if you are interested in learning more about transmission planning and scheduling, generation dispatch, and energy markets.
If you wish to attend, you are required to provide your name, workplace or affiliation, and to RSVP before 5:00pm on January 22nd, 2016. RSVPs after that date will not be accepted. All attendees will undergo a background check prior to entry of the facility.
